Yesterday was a calm day…we had brunch in Philly with our friends and other couple from Fuqua.Actually it was not a brunch since it was Friday, so jan had a pizza for breakfast and I had a salad hehehee It was fun and great to spend time with friends. I slept for 3 hours in the afternoon.. I dont know where I can find so much sleep… we had wine, thanksgiving leftover, played Trivia, watched “something Borrowed’… actually I watched it.. He slept in the middle. I liked a lot… pretty cute romantic movie; the kind of movie you know the endafer3 minutes… but it still cute more…

Today I decided I needed some time for me, and my husband… if I bring the computer home I will work, so I left at the office! Great Idea!! I went to the massage. For the first time for 1hour and half… it is amazing but a little bit too long… When I had still 15 min I started to want to pee, and then the need got bigger, so I didn’t enjoy so much the end of the massage.

I came home to watch Greys and then we watch Due Date… a comedy movie with the really funny actor from Hangover. And now bed time!!!

I need to find a dress for the Gala party I will attend on Saturday. Obama is one of the participants… I am super excited.

Today was perfect! Great… I rest a lot and didn’t do anything related to work, though tomorrow will be a little bit different. I will need to work. We went to Philly to meet Jan’s family from Switzerland – his cousin with wife and 3 kids. They are doing a tour around east coast and they were here for just 4 hours. We had lunch in a food court close to Liberty Bell and talked a little bit.

after that the  of us went to a yogurt place – Old City… that is one of our favorite treats when at the city since we don’t have a yogurt place close to us. The yogurt was pretty good but unfortunately it didn’t have the yogurt chips, my favorite toppings and the one I dream about when thinking about frozen yogurt. We went to the grocery. When I go with Jan it normally takes one hour longer. That is because he compares prices, looks brands and try to understand the best for the money… it is funny. I am more about the brands I am used to buy and he is more about the best for the money. In the deodorant session he stayed for 30 minutes. I believe he smelled ALL deodorants at the store. We spent the whole day inside home… great breakfast and lunch and later some snacks watching the movie “The Last Song” … cute but not compared to others movies based on Nicholas Sparks books… it was the weakest I have watched. We finished Grey Anatomy season 7, and now we need to wait until Sep 22nd.

We are having rain since noon but in the last 2 hours it got stronger….and we can even see some small amount of water in some places… the Irene is expected to really arrived here at 2am, so I hope it does not get too stronger. WE are not feeling or hearing any wind… so the probable problem with be flooding, if we have any.

Mamy, everything is fine! Dont be worried! I cannot lie, I loved my day at home, with a great excuse as “Irene”!

My mom sent me a email today in the morning, worried with Irene and my safety. Of course she would be worried, that is the only think people can talk about. I had the day off and watched CNN for a long period of time and probably 90% of the news today was about Irene. So I can say now that I know everything I can possibly think about when the word hurricane appears in my mind.

Yes, that is true. We woke up at 11h30 with my cell phone ringing. I was planning to have some drinks at the end of the day with a couple and they called me to go earlier. It was good to go earlier because I normally enjoy some calm time at home at Sunday Night. We went to Boathouse and had a great time. i met her at J&J and her husband is like Jan, all international, and speaks fluent German. It was great and I can see them as a good friends. more…
