I woke up from 30 to 30 minutes with the alarm clock, until 11 am, when I realized I should start to move if I wanted to meet my friend at 12h30 in Philly. I don’t know why someone can be so tired all the time like me. Sometimes I just think I am sick.. but I am not. I always was a bed lover… and I am able to be there forever.

But thank God I had something planned because the day was great. I met my friend and we went for lunch at Gigi, a nice small restaurant in the Old City neighborhood. Then we did some tourism – Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, South Street. It was nice to understand more the Constitution creation, and the process. I love to see how Americans are patriot. Brazilians would not care less for a bell… but here there is a big and important meaning, and I kind of like that. I realized how general knowledge about USA is small, and if one day I decide to apply for citizenship I will need to study for the questions… more…

Great day! I went to the pool for 2 hours and it was great. A lot of girls there… but I didn’t meet any yet. I don’t know if they are students on vacation, partners or people like me waiting to start a new job. Later I did 1 hour in the elliptical – 500 calories. I felt super productive but now my legs hurt.

My post will be short because after coming to bed at 3:30 in the morning yesterday, Jan is already here today.. so I don’t want to spend my time in the computer. more…

Great day in Philly with our friends…we woke up, had a nice breakfast with eggs and french toast at home…then we stayed around talking until we decided what to do: explore Philly. The day was gorgeous. We went to the Art Museum, not inside since the most important “piece of art” is a statue of Rocky (yes, from the movie with Silvestre Stallone). There was a line of tourists to take picture there: italian, japanese, brazilian and americans. It was interesting. We drove around some neighborhoods until we decided to stop to try one of the most famous Philly cheese steak, in a restaurant called Jim. more…

Yeah! Finally we went to Philly. Rittenhouse square is 15 min from home (without traffic). We got some traffic in our way back and it increased the time in almost 20 min… sad. But the quick visit to Philly was great. We had brunch with 2 Fuqua students that are here doing summer job at J&J. They talked about their perceptions and first impressions and it was pretty good! They confirmed our choice of living in downtown. In only 3 weeks they are already tired of the commuting time. more…

it is not good to my diet, especially when I decide to order a dessert sample that was huge. Yes, it happened today at Outback. We had a gift card and we decided to use. I cooked a delicious shrimp and broccoli risotto for lunch. Yesterday we went to Peperoncini,a walking distance restaurant in Conshohocken. We thought at first it was a bar,and Jan even joked if it would have more girls there. But it was a nice small restaurant. The ones that have Tvs , as usual, gambling machines, and nice food. more…

My day started at 5h30am.. I took Jan to the airport.. I came back home after a pit stop at Wal Mart to buy small things and then I went to the ophthalmologist to order contact lenses.I don’t like to wear glasses and after one week is really good to have my contact lenses back! I went to my mentored study, than to Crabtree mall to buy some things (didn’t find exactly what I was looking for, but some shirts are always welcomed), then a dinner and finally a bar. I ate more than I can count.. so I just put some total number for the day at weight watchers website…. I tried to be a good girl, but it was hard. more…

It was tremendously hard to wake up today to go to a team meeting. But there I was… we discussed the case, talked about white party and some gossips and then I came back home for breakfast with Jan (more to a brunch). I watched some programs on TV and then slept for 2 hours, so tired I was. more…

Eyes are closing… I am with headache and some nausea. Probably something that I ate. The day at school was good. Then I went for manicure and pedicure. It is unbelievable how this small treat can make a woman feel more beautiful and ready for the challenges!

I had a Baby Shower today – double. Two Brazilian friends. It was perfect, the decoration amazing, the small details were prepared. Later I had a dinner with J&J in a place called Weathervane, in Chapel Hill – pretty good food. It was great to be around J&J employees, and future full time and interns. I had other party to go, but I am exhausted and need to be 8h30 tomorrow in my mentored study. Time to rest. The weekend will be intense. :)

Weird title? Yes, especially when you think on me. I have a terrible voice, I cannot sing even happy Birthday but I was “hired” today to be the voice for a mobile language curse. They need a Portuguese speaker and they found me! hehehehe I went there and the sound manager whatever said my voice is excellent. Poor guy, have no idea! Anyway, it is a curious job and something interesting that I can add to my list. more…

My day started with the CEO P&G Brasil. He talked a lot of Brasil and how important this market is. But what I really liked was that we (Brazilians) come across as the most clean population: higher average of showers per week, higher average of roll on dehodorant used per time, higher average of number of times we floss per day! more…
